Slant boards assist in maintaining a neutral back and neck posture by placing reference materials at an angle, above the flat worksurface. These often look like miniature drafting tables or heavy-duty document holders used with computers. Other Commentaries and InformationAliMed's How to Choose Desk Slants

Comments:
Adaptables just came out with a slantboard recently. Has six fixed angled positions. 12" high x 16" wide. Also has an expandable T bar that extends height to 21" high. People call me looking for a slantboard/doc holder that will hold legal size pages (16" tall)- this sort of thing works very well for this. Comes in Almond laminate color. Lets you read and write in comfort. Posture straightens, eyes relax, aches disappear. Sit longer, concentrate better and work more productively. You'll be amazed at the difference a few inches of incline makes. Beautifully handcrafted from Oregon Alder hardwood. 25" x 14 1/2". Collapses to a slim 2" for quick portability. Writing surface 15 deg. to 22 deg. angle at a maximum height of 6 1/2" to 7" with four height adjustments. Reading surface: 75 deg. angle with a maximum height of 14 1/2"
Comments:
ErgoDesks are of the highest quality and their big advantage is their collapsability and carrying handle. From home to work- or where ever your work is. We recommend these a lot for persons with cervical injuries. This slantboard is designed to be used as an inclined writing surface positioning the forearms actually on the slantboard itself. Uniqueness lies in a flip up second surface- a sort of book shelf freeing up the writing surface. Prices are $179 for 18" wide & $189 for 25" wide. For a few bucks more- slantboard also comes in solid walnut or rosewood. The most asthetically pleasing slantboard you will find anywhere. A black plastic adjustable angle slantboard that is 15" x 16". $158 list price. Collapses flat and has a carrying handle also.

Task 2 also makes what what I would call a "deskedge slantboard". Literally a slantboard designed to be used b/n the keyboard (which is on a retractable keyboard tray) and the monitor. Both the FATCAT and COPYCAT are 15"h x 16"w and angle adjustable from 20 to 80 degrees and 10 to 80 degrees respectively. Made from black plastic. The FATCAT has carrying handles built in. A deskedge slantboard available in 18" and 22" widths. Comes in choice of Slate or Black laminate. Designed to be used in conjuction with a retractable keyboard tray. Rather heavy duty and will hold a lot of weight -- medical files, legal files, etc. The lip is padded and 2" thick -- it'll hold thick heavy files easily. The Rite-In-Line has a lot of adjustment, height, angle, back/forth motion but is heavy and not designed to be moved from place to place. However, there isn't any other slantboard product that has as much adjustment or designed to do exactly what this one does.
The deskedge slantboard I find many people don't know exist- but if they can configure their workstations to use one- it works great! (Timothy Robert Mayhew, Professional Ergonomic Solutions - April'98)
