Dear DragonDictate-30K User,

   Dragon Systems, Inc. has announced DragonDictate version 2.0.  This new
version is scheduled to start shipping in the middle of August.  Version
2.0's new features include:
      30,000 word dictionary, all modifiable and replaceable by the user
      A new speech recognition driver for improved recognition models
      Up to 5,000 global macros that are active across all applications
      Ability to turn off automatic adaptation for "power" input sessions
      A backup dictionary of 120,000 words all with pronunciation models
      Runs from the Windows 3.1 DOS prompt or in an OS/2 DOS session
      A voice file optimization utility that improves dictation performance

Requirements of this new version have changed also.
      12MB RAM minimum; 16MB RAM with OS/2 or MS Windows
      IBM M-Audio Capture and Playback Adapter
      DOS 5.0 or higher
      22MB hard disk storage, plus 5MB for each additional user

Upgrade program for current owners:
      $195 software only upgrade price for Maintenance Program owners or 
	products under warranty
      $895 for users not under warranty or Maintenance Program
      $305 ACPA board

      User must provide
	  1) serial number
	  2) front page of original manual 
	  3)copy of purchase order

   Important: Upgrading users must create and adapt new voice files, but
can upgrade macros and added words from previous version. DD 1 voice files
are not compatible with DD 2.

New Dragon Systems policies of interest:
      Each user can purchase a second unit for $1995
      A 30% educational discount is available; this discount is only on the 
	first DD unit
